Spurs are said to be on the verge of signing Barcelona winger Ibrahim Afellay.
The Dutch international is said to be keen on a move to White Hart Lane and Harry Redknapp is ready to offer the European Champions £7m for the player.

Spurs chief scout Ian Broomfield watched the exciting target in the Audi Cup clash with Brazilian club Internacional in Germany last night.
The winger played the first half – enough time to let Broomfield send a report back to Harry Redknapp about his form.
Afellay, who has struggled to hold down a first team place at the Nou Camp, will be allowed to leave on the cheap after Barcelona secured the signing of Chilean international Alexis Sanchez. The newspaper reports that Tottenham manager has highlighted his intention to sign the player to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.
The 25-year-old Dutchman has failed to impose himself on Pep Guardiola’s side since he joined from PSV Eindhoven in December 2010 and is ready to leave the Nou Camp.
Lazio are also considering making a move for the playe and his team-mate Gabriel Milito as they attempt to bolster their squad ahead of the 2011-12 campaign.
The Serie A side are eager to strengthen their ranks and have already added the likes of Federico Marchetti, Abdoulay Konko and Senad Lulic so far this summer.
Harry Redknapp is ready to step up his attempts to sign Athletic Bilbao frontman Fernando Llorente after it emerged Tottenham are ready to sell striker duo Robbie Keane and Peter Crouch. Rednkapp could be forced to accept defeat in his bid to bring Roma striker Mirko Vucinic to White Hart lane after the Italian side upped their valuation of the player. In news surrounding departures from White Hart Lane, Aston Villa is ready to make a bid for Scotland right-back Alan Hutton.
Tottenham are reportedly ready to offer Athletic Bilbao £20m for Spain striker Fernando Llorente. The Spanish striker has been on the radar of Tottenham for quite some time and it was believed the club would make a bid for the player in June. It now seems that Harry Redknapp is ready to throw his hat in the ring to capture Llorente but only after he has moved on surplus players Robbie Keane and Peter Crouch.
