Footyplans football predictions
Footyplans is a football selections service, the website for which is footyplans.co.uk There is no free trial period, but if you change your mind within the first thirty days, then there is a moneyback guarantee, subject to sending an e-mail request. The cost of the footyplans service is £19 per month, via Paypal.
Kevin currently offers five different types of selections – “plans” – Homes, Home Lays, Over 2.5 Goals, Asian Handicaps, and very recently Aways.
He is also currently trialling other ideas for members to consider. Amongst these are lay the draw (please don’t groan), lay the favourite, backing scorelines and trading scorelines to name a few. As the service paid for is for the plans, I will not show any of the trials here, especially as two different people could get very different results based on how they actually execute the trades, and as I have previously said, they are on trial.
I will be trialling the Footyplans selections here for an initial period of 45 days. The results will be shown to a basis of £10 per point advised. The sales pages state that Kevin, the owner, starts with a bank of £5,000 at the start of each season, which at £100 bets, would equate to 50 points. I will start with a nominal bank of £1,000, and we will see how that progresses.
Kevin advises in his e-mails where the best odds are at the time of writing his e-mails. I will find the best odds available from either Odds Portal and Oddschecker, where the sportsbook has a rating of B- or better. This would exclude Sportingbet.com (D+ rating), Interwetten and Unibet (UK bettors excluded).
Monday saw the final day of the review of the selections from Footyplans.
Over the course of the forty-five betting days (a total of 102 days), the original £1,000 bank has grown to £1,181.45, a profit of £181.45.
On top of this an outlay of £76 would have been paid.
During the course of the test, Footyplan’s e-mails arrived in good time to place the days bets. The only thing I wondered was whether it may be possible to send the selections the night before, as Saturday can be a very busy day. During the week, the selections arrived by lunchtime, which of course is no problem, as the midweek games are usually evening kick offs.
I had the occasion to send Kevin a couple of e-mails during the period, and I can only say that the replies were quickly replied to, and very courteous.
The selections themselves are very straightforward, all singles, ranging from five areas:
Plan 1 – Home Wins
Plan 2 – Home Lays
Plan 3 – Over 2.5 Goals
Plan 4 – Asian Handicaps
Plan 5 – Away Wins
The vast majority of the selections were from the top five divisions in England, with the odd selection from France, Italy and Spain. The odds to bet at were what I would call value odds, anything from 1.75 to 1.80, so no short odds here.
The selection e-mails include the odds that were available at the time of writing, together with the minimum odds that should be taken. This means that it would be a very good idea to have accounts with the likes of Pinnacle, Betsson, Expekt, Unibet and 188 Bet etc, as the “main” high street bookies were frequently beatable, and to get the best value, you need the best potential return. There would be recommendations to use the likes of SBOBet, 12Bet and Canbet, to name a few. You will notice during the review I did not use these providers, as SBOBet and 12 Bet do not have a review, and Canbet’s rating is C- at Sportsbookreview.com. I cannot say anything against 12 Bet and SBOBet as I have never used them, but when there are over 400 on the list, when one doesn’t appear, I think it is better to be safe than sorry, as there are alternatives above the minimum odds stated.
The highest figure the bank reaches was £1,192.15 on 17th April, the lowest the £976.19 on 25th February.
The plans themselves show a mixed performance when separated.

Looking back at the performances, the Home Lays have not produced sufficient selections to give a real opinion, and the Over 2.5 Goals, although not a big loss, just have not really done the business, with a fairly decent strike rate.
So with the other three plans, a profit of £259.78 was made, which is not a massive amount, but certainly produces a good move in the right direction, and more than covers the subscription fees.
So, to conclude, for £19 per month, I would definitely recommend giving Footyplans a try, and with the thirty-day guarantee, you can change your mind, if you find things do not suit you.
