Marseille are interested in re-signing Chelsea’s aging striker Didier Drogba – but only if the club can offload some players first and be able to meet the Ivorian striker’s wage demands.
Drogba starred for OM during his single season at the Velodrome before departing for Chelsea in a £24 million move in 2004. The 33-year-old has a year remaining on his current deal at Stamford Bridge and it is not yet known if he is part of new Blues manager Andre Villas-Boas’s plans.

He loves/d playing for Chelsea
The Ivorian star revealed last December that he would relish the opportunity to see out his playing days at the Stade Velodrome, where he scored 28 goals in only one season with the team.
Fernando Torres’ arrival forced Drogba to spend time on the bench for most of the latter half of the season.
Turkish giants Galatasaray are also reported to be interested in the legendary striker for several months now and are willing to offer brilliant midfielder Arda Turan who is valued at £18 million in a swap plus cash deal.
Galatasaray are demanding Chelsea pay £7million plus Drogba for the deal to go through.
The left-sided midfielder Arda was expected to be a target for Guus Hiddink if he had become the new Chelsea manager. However according to the Express Galatasaray still think that Chelsea are interested in Turan and that he can be used to bring Drogba to Turkey.
Arda Turan is 24 and has been at Galatasaray since 2005. He has played more than 200 games for the club scoring 46 goals and providing 71 assists. He has also played in 44 games for the Turkish national side, scoring 11 goals for his country
Didier Drogba has been at Chelsea since 2004. He has played in 306 games for the Blues and scored 144 goals in that time.
The prolific marksman is also of interest to Harry Redknapp’s Tottenham.
The clear-out of playing staff will begin very soon, with Bosingwa, Nicolas Anelka and Salomon Kalou all sweating over their Blues futures.
According to some reports, Besiktas are willing to offer £6 million for the 28-year-old Portuguese defender. There are already five other Portuguese players at Besiktas and with only one year left on his contract Bosingwa may be tempted to make a change for the Turkish League.
